Ahh, 2019. It seems like a lifetime of travel ago. South America is always on my list of places to visit—for the heat and grit, for the beauty and sophistication, for the tradition and substance, for home-grilled lomo and a good Malbec.
Walking the hills of Valparaiso means experiencing a cultural tour of the street art scene that took life back in the 1940’s and grew in secret even during the military dictatorship of Pinochet. Best night? Dinner at La Caperucita y el Lobo with a view of the city and dancing in a hidden street-lit square.
I try to keep an architectural memory of places that I visit, this time took home a hand screen print of a Valpo funicular by Fabrika.
